So what defines a classic album? A party track, a fun dance that catches on. No a classic album is one that when you play it, you automatically go back to the first time you heard it. Of course Hot Lyrics and Dope beats is a must also. Well people back in 1988 Big Daddy Kane blessed us with such a gem "Long Live the Kane" Big Daddy was a member of the Original Juice crew consisting of names like Biz Markie, Marley Marl, Craig G and Roxanne Shante. Always noted as a gifted lyricist he penned the classic Biz Markie track "The Vapors" but made a name for himself when he dropped his single "Ain't No Half Steppin" an Instant classic with his classic high top fade, and patented dance moves on stage with his acrobatic dancers ScoopLover and ScrapLover Kane was a true original. Other standout tracks like Raw, and Set It off kept the streets buzzing. His style of flow has influenced a number of new jack Emcees from Black Thought of the Roots to even Jigga Man Jay-Z. So if you are someone who is complaining about garbage being put out by current day emcees why don't you treat yourself to a listen to this timeless album. It wouldn't be right if I didn't leave you with a classic Kane line so here goes

At least not in the principle of this pedigree/So when I roll on you rappers you better be Ready/To die because your petty/Your just a butter knife I'm a Machete!

So let's give it up for Big Daddy Kane and I personally challenge anyone to go line for line with me reciting a Kane track the only person that can say his rhymes better is Kane himself LOL.
