Lil' Kims' 1996 solo debut album, Hard Core was released 13 years ago to-the-date on November 12, 1996, so in dedication to an album that I still blast, I picked the second released single, "Crush On You" as my track of the day.  This album educated little middle-school girls on things they ought not know yet, and brought the closet freaks out for a celebration.  In 50 minutes, Kim spit lyrics that were nastier, freakier, and raunchier than any other rapper that preceded her, male or female dared to say.  Some argue that Kim set female rappers back with this release, and others say she created a mold. I personally cant wait for her label situation to clear up, for what she was promised will be Hard Core pt. 2.

Who doesnt remember saying "Shall I Proceed?"  and then waiting for someone to chime in "Yes, Indeed!"  this song seriously has too many quotables, and the video features cameos of some of our favorite 90's artists peep it below!
