TRACK OF THE DAY: LL Cool J ft. Boyz II Men- Hey Lover
James Todd Smith was/is/forever will be a pioneer of the rap game. Cool J hails reign to being amongst an elite group of very few hip-hop stars to sustain a successful recording career for more than two decades. This cut comes from his 1993 album "Mr Smith" and helped girth (the now common) combination of rap and R&B. "Hey Lover" featured Boyz II Men and contained sampling from Michael Jackson's "The Lady in My Life". Not only was it one of the first hip-hop videos to air on American VH1, but it also earned LL a Grammy. Enjoy this classic. Peace.
