So often we throw out the term living legend, usually when it comes to Sports,Acting, and Music. Sometimes the title is correct sometimes not, but it would be hard to argue that Sade is not a living legend. A woman that has graced us with countless hits, numerous albums, and an elegance and beauty that has followed her into her fifties. She is truly a living legend with a style all of her own. So I am happy to review her latest project Soldier Of Love. Ten tracks, that deliver what you have come to expect from Sade. The first track "The Moon and the Sky" talks about a missed opportunity on love where she reminds an old lover that they could have had it all together. "Soldier of Love" is the next track which is the 1st single from the album, on this track she lets everyone know that even though it can seem like the Wild Wild west out here she is still fighting for love. Other standout tracks from the album are Babyfather, Long Hard Road, and In Another Time. It is a skip free album so you can just put this in and let it play. For me my favorite track is "The Safest Place" less than 3 minutes long no chorus just a delicate groove to highlight her voice where she describes how the safest place is her heart and that her lover does not need to worry because her heart has been a warrior before. To me this is what makes Sade so amazing because all she needs is a guitar, some light drums, and that classic voice and she can take you on a musical journey that seems effortless. Here are a couple of lyrics from safest place

In my heart
Your love has found
The safest hiding place
Inside is a field
And trees and a lake
Around is a wall
No-one from hell could break
