Boyz With Tattoos

The Jerkin' Movement, which started in Southern Cali, is slowly taken over nation-wide, and while The New Boyz, smell very One-Hit Wonder-ish, a new group, known as The Bangz, has sprung up. The group is composed of 2 females: 21-year-old Sabi and 20-year-old, Ella Ann. I was skeptical at first, but now I am officially a fan. These girls are full of attitude and swag (I seriously hate that word, but it applies in this case). They are creating dance records with the help of The Co-Stars, a production duo who has worked with everyone from Fantasia to 50 Cent. Don't do a "full inspection" of the lyrics, these are dance records, they aren't suppose to inspire in-depth conversation. Wonderfully simplistic, The Bangz say all the things their young female dominated audience wants to hear, and everything women in their early to late 20s have (hopefully) already learned. According to their MySpace page, while hitting up the club scene in California, the girls are also preparing to record their debut album with the help of the Co-Stars, The Handlebars (a song-writing group that wrote their debut single, "We Jerkin'"), and other producers on the Van Nuy/Asylum Record Label. My personal favorite is: "Hard in the Paint". You really don't have to listen for more than 10 seconds to realize why. Check out that track, as well as, their debut single, "We Jerkin" , as well as the Rockbox rmx version to "We Jerkin' (its better than the original to me) below. You think these girls could be "the next big thing"?
