Dubbed as “London’s Chris Brown”, Soundbwoy Entertainment recording artist, Young Nate, has taken the UK music stage by storm. Formerly known only to the underground scene, the 18yr-old R&B crooner released his debut album A Piece of Me. “I Wonder” and “Mixed Messages”, the two hottest tracks, have rapidly propelled him into the mainstream spotlight. He's getting alot of play on the U.S. soundwave as well. Young Nate's videos have gained major publicity via YouTube and MySpace – with a combined total of just under 500,000 hits. Quickly up-and-coming, this newcomer can definitely hold his own weight.
Like most of the legends - he began performing at an early age; earning his stripes by singing in the church choir. The interlude “Hem of His Garment” is sung accapella and avidly displays his gospel background.
Nate also switches genres and shows his Caribbean flavor with the reggae influenced track “Wine it Gal”.
Aside from a few various subjects, he mostly harmonizes about love and relationships. The young “boy wonder” has obviously fallen in and out of love a few times. His mature vocals touch subject matter that we all can identify with.
Performing without an inkling of stage fright - arena audiences are wooed by his upbeat melodies and London swag.
The United Kingdom phenom has all the right moves and a voice that the game could use; this is especially visible on mid-tempo songs like “Set U 3ree”.
After a few more albums, a couple of worldwide tours and more life-experiences, he could be a force to be reckoned with.
This is a pretty decent EP to add to the Indie archive; file it under "artists with alot of potential".
He’s currently on tour, serenading the streets of London. Be on the lookout, it won’t be long before everyone knows the voice of -the talented-Young Nate.
