Single Review: "Dont Stop" Nina Sky

Posted by krushez on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 , under , , , , , , , | comments (0)

"Dont Stop" will hopefully be on Nina Sky's new upcoming album, The Musical. Overall, it may not be a banger, but its still a good song. The beat seems like it should be a little faster. Part of you wants to all out dance on this track, but you feel a little held back by the slowness of it. Hopefully they will speed it up with the remix. Check out the new song below and tell me what you think! Will the fact that their new songs are half good even make a difference? Are they a distant memory...and this a failing comeback attempt?

That New New: The Song Edition (Dance)

I only have 2 dance songs listed below (its Monday and I’m low on brain-fuel), but there will be more coming!

A COMEBACK! Nina Sky “On Some Bulls----“. The last time Nina Sky had a hit was back in Spring of 2004 with the single “Move Ya Body”. They took over the summer that year, and for the past 5 years they stayed busy working on tracks and switching labels (they left Universal for J Records). Now it is 2009 and it appears that they have another summer-time hit on their hands. If you haven’t heard “On Some Bulls----“ yet, check out the video below. It will be coming to a club near you! It has an up-tempo dance beat, and the lyrics are meant for any females out there who have ever dated a guy, that thought you shouldn’t be able to get over him. The remix by DJ Yonny is especially hype, listen to it here. Play it while getting dressed for the club, pump it on the way to the club, and request it when you get in the club!

Thunderheist “Jerk It”/”LBG (Little Booty Girl)”. Thunderheist is not technically new to the scene, and this isn’t a comeback. The problem is that they are making some of hottest dance tracks that you don’t know about! Producer Grahm Killa and MC Isis make up Thunderheist, an electropop dance duo coming out of Canada. Their first single “Jerk It” made it to a few ears when their song was featured in the film, The Wrestler and their self-titled full-length album was released on March 31, 2009 on the Big Dada label. Featured below are two of the best songs on the album. “Jerk It”, which infectious beat will have you moving even if the dance genre is not a favorite of yours (while watching the video just think about what the girl is jerking…), and “LBG” which is catchy to say the least.
