Gearing up for the release of their debut album, In The Ruff, Diamond District released a 12-track mixtape by DJ Buddy.  The mixtape, Diamond Exchange Mixtape, is comprised of 4 songs from the album itself as well as solo tracks that allow each member of the group to get their due shine.  If you didnt know already, Diamond District is comprised of emcee/producer, Oddisee, and emcees X.O. and YU, they hail from my home turf (the DMV area), and are definitely one of the few shining lights of hope in hiphop today.  Do yourself a favor and get 2 copies of their album when it is released on October 27th through Mello Music Group.

Got a present in our mailbox earlier today!  Here is the lead single from the underground rap group, Swollen Members.  The group's sixth solo album, Armed To The Teeth, will be released on October 27th and features appearances by Tech N9ne, Everlast and Slaine from La Coka Nostra, Glasses Malone, and Talib Kweli.    The duo will also be going on tour in support of the album, check out the tour dates below!
