Trey Songz Dissing R. Kelly...Wait! What?

My first reaction was: What is the world coming to! I consider myself a big Trey Songz fan, but going at the King like that...he needs to fall back! After listening to the song itself, which is set to Jay-Z "D.O.A." instrumental, my reaction was that on its own merit is not a bad song, he has a couple of hot lines, and even a few points (Kellz should lay off the Auto-Tune, and set up his game). What I didnt like was when he mentioned how Kellz is copying off of The-Dream (he is...but that ish is still hot...lol) because he spent the better part of his career copying off of Kellz. Am I the only the one who remembers that just a couple of years ago, Trey was swinging on Kellz' sack, talking about how big a fan he was, and even making versions of R. Kelly's "In the Closet"? Talent wise Songz is a force to bet dealt with, unfortunately on the Sales side of things he flies, politely put "under the radar", no platinum albums, heck as far as I know...no gold albums, I've decided to look at this as a sad, and depending on if and how Kellz responds, foolish attempt to get some recognition. Trey, there had to be a better way...Ready, comes out on August 4th. Check out the video and download link below, and comment!

The "Demo" Tape is a R. Kelly mixtape brought to you courtesy of DJ Drama & DJ Skee to help build anticipation for his upcoming album, Untitled. Starting with track #1, Kellz takes to reminding the audience that he runs the R&B world and the crown is his to lose. The male R&B artist is getting younger and younger, but R. Kelly, adapts effortlessly, showing the "youngins" that he can come in their lane and master it like it is his own. You may not like the man, but you have to respect his talent. The mixtape has a couple of standouts, they are (in no particular order): "Supa Man High", "Tip the Waiter", "Banging the Headboard", and... uh...track #8. Overall, this mixtape will satisfy your R. Kelly fix until the album is released. My only complaint is the arrangement of the tracks (the hype songs are in the middle of the ballady (is that a word?) bedroom songs). Oh, and check out his remix to "Birthday Sex" (track#15)...his part was ok...but when Jeremih voice hits...it seems like he should've stayed away from that one.
