Single Review: "Kill You" Maino

Maino's album, If Tomorrow Comes..., is due in stores on June 30th, and "Kill You" is the fourth released single. On the track, Maino spits about his "baby-mama drama" and admits that sometimes the anger boils over and he wants to kill her. We can appreciate him getting this frustration out on wax as opposed to taking the Chris Brown road. Trey Songz Dissing R. Kelly...Wait! What?

My first reaction was: What is the world coming to! I consider myself a big Trey Songz fan, but going at the King like that...he needs to fall back! After listening to the song itself, which is set to Jay-Z "D.O.A." instrumental, my reaction was that on its own merit is not a bad song, he has a couple of hot lines, and even a few points (Kellz should lay off the Auto-Tune, and set up his game). What I didnt like was when he mentioned how Kellz is copying off of The-Dream (he is...but that ish is still hot...lol) because he spent the better part of his career copying off of Kellz. Am I the only the one who remembers that just a couple of years ago, Trey was swinging on Kellz' sack, talking about how big a fan he was, and even making versions of R. Kelly's "In the Closet"? Talent wise Songz is a force to bet dealt with, unfortunately on the Sales side of things he flies, politely put "under the radar", no platinum albums, heck as far as I know...no gold albums, I've decided to look at this as a sad, and depending on if and how Kellz responds, foolish attempt to get some recognition. Trey, there had to be a better way...Ready, comes out on August 4th. Check out the video and download link below, and comment!

So, there are officially a million and one remixes to Jeremih's "Birthday Sex". This one is from Sammie, and I like it! If I were to list the many versions of "Birthday Sex" in order from greatest to good, but not great (because they are all good..then again..I could just really like the song), then I would say: *1* Jeremih-"Birthday Sex" (of course) , *2* Trey Songz-"First Date Sex", *3* Sammie-"Love Hate Sex", and *4* R.Kelly "Birthday Sex Rmx*, the other fall somewhere behind. Single Review: "Invented Sex" Trey Songz ft. Drake

Its Trey Songz, thats all you really need to know. The beat is smooth, and Trey works his magic. If you want to find fault, the weakest link is Drake's part (he just doesnt ooze the amount of sex-y necessary for the track...Luda would have been perfect), but you will be too busy singing the rest of the song to notice. Keep your ears open for Trey's album Ready on August 1st. I'm going to do you a favor and give you the download link...you're going to want to replay it over...and over...and over again.
